100 Word BIO
Australian artist Dale Key uses contemporary painting techniques to inspire a dialogue about the ‘Joy of the Moment’ drawing inspiration from the natural world and interweaving the physical, emotional and psychological into a visual feast for the viewer.
• Joy of the Moment may burst onto the canvas as an explosion of abstract colour or be as gentle as a water-coloured daffodil leaning in the breeze.
• Creative stories are expressed through competing perspectives of colour, brush stroke and composition while connecting the audience with a core focus of feeling.

200 Word BIO
Australian artist Dale Key uses contemporary painting techniques to inspire a dialogue about the ‘Joy of the Moment’ drawing inspiration from the natural world and interweaving the physical, emotional and psychological into a visual feast for the viewer.
• Joy of the Moment may burst onto the canvas as an explosion of abstract colour or be as gentle as a water-coloured daffodil leaning in the breeze. With different pieces you feel serenity and calmness but with others a depth of experience, be it opulence, consumption, crowding or joy.
• Creative Stories are expressed through competing perspectives of colour, brush stroke and composition while connecting the audience with a core focus of feeling. Some stories are evident in Dale’s work while others require the viewer to reflect a little deeper and personalize their experience.
His works are varied, from large abstract pieces through to delicate portraiture and expressive animal work for loving pet owners. Like Dale’s life experiences his works are never dull and he is always searching for that little spark that can create an explosion of joy for the viewer or can provide an insight into overlooked possibilities.
