Lorraine Swan was born in Brisbane, and grew up in and around Queensland. She always had a love of art and was inspired by the landscape art of her grandmother. It wasn't until 1973 after the birth of her second child that Lorraine began to paint. There she found a natural gift and quickly developed her trademark style that could bring beautiful landscapes to life. She was honored to have one of her works displayed in the SGIO Art Show in 1979.
Over the years her paintings have been well sought after and have attracted many commissions and private sales. Now retired and living in Portland Victoria, Lorraine continues to be inspired by her surroundings. Her great love is the Australian landscape, and she creates stunning outback works, seascapes and rural paintings from her travels around the country. |
